A lifelong Marylander, Michael brings nearly fifteen years of versatility and experience to the WHP team.
Michael is emerging as one of the premier community association attorneys in Maryland, with a particular focus on representation of high-rise condominium associations.
As part of his real estate transactional practice, Michael works with builders and developers in a wide variety of residential, commercial, and mixed-use projects, ranging from major developments to single infill lots, with an emphasis on condominium and homeowners’ associations. Michael’s previous AMLaw100 litigation experience allows his clients a single point of contact for both drafting and subsequent enforcement of these instruments in Maryland and federal courts.
Michael has an established reputation in the private utility company industry in Maryland, having represented clients in all aspects of the industry, including acquisition financing, establishment of declarations, sale of private utility businesses, collection lawsuits, and litigation in defense of the industry in Maryland’s appellate courts. His experience further extends to the public utility sector, including the representation of a Maryland regulated water company through the entire process of its acquisition.
Michael graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park in 2006 and from the University of Maryland School of Law in 2010. He resides in Howard County with his wife and two sons.
